Online Education
Colorado School of Mines offers a growing range of academic degree and educational certificate programs online. Students from around the world and across the country are invited to apply. However, by law, there are certain limitations. Online courses cannot be provided to certain countries and regions under sanctions by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
As a result, Colorado School of Mines is unable to consider prospective applicants who would reside and take their online courses within Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea region of Ukraine, or the so-called People’s Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk. Specific exemptions exist and may be authorized with an OFAC license. If you are unsure about your status, please contact Export Controls.
