Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research – Case Studies in Authorship Credit

Using case studies, this workshop will help participants answer questions such as: What ethical standards exist for determining authorship credit? What can lead to disputes among authors? How can disputes be avoided or resolved? What are Mines’ guidelines for authorship?

Presented by Dr. Tim Barbari, Dean of Graduate Studies, and Dr. Jenny Briggs, Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies.

Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research – Planning for Data Management

This workshop offers an introduction to research data management practices. Data management is a critical component of ensuring reproducibility of research and broadening the impacts of the data you produce. This workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of creating comprehensive and compliant DMPs, ensuring your research is not only rigorous but also adheres to best practices in data management.

Presented by Seth Vuletich, Scholarly Communications Librarian.

Any graduate student or post-doc funded by NIH or NSF must fulfill training with an in-person element.

Workshops are open to all students.
